Work Coach (Towards Work)

Derventio Housing Trust are a delivery partner for Building Better Opportunities: Towards Work strand. This exciting programme in the D2N2 LEP area aims to combat the root causes of poverty, promote social inclusion, challenge long-term unemployment and empower socially excluded people. This project is jointly funded by the European Social Fund and the National Lottery Community Fund until April 2022, possible extension subject to confirmation of funding.
Working as part of a team, you will provide a high-quality service to support unemployed and economically inactive people in Amber Valley, Erewash, Derbyshire Dales and High Peak towards and into work. Your role will be to motivate disadvantaged participants and support them to achieve their goals.
The successful candidate will:
- be self-motivated, confident and looking for a unique challenge
- have excellent local knowledge of employability services and the labour market
- have excellent knowledge of benefits, including in-work benefits
- have a driving licence and access to a vehicle for work
- have high level literacy, IT skills and knowledge
- be efficient, and have good attention to detail.
Remuneration packages commensurate with level of experience
All candidates must be prepared to undergo an enhanced DBS check
